“Luce“
Wearing a 20 pound vest, three rounds for time of:
1K Run
10 Muscle-ups
100 Squats

31:21 (no 20 lb. vest., and 3 muscle-ups per round!)
Got my muscle-ups today! Jeff asked me what I thought made the difference in me getting them today and not before and I would have to say it is a combination of the coaching and encouragement from Jeff and the inspiration of seeing everybody else in the gym work so hard to push themselves on a daily basis to get pull-ups, get double-unders, lift more weight, move faster, etc., etc. vs. when I worked out alone in my garage. So thanks everyone!
I also had to keep up with Casey once he got them
Congratulations John that is Awesome!
Nice job John – they looked awesome!!!!
Stellar work, John!!! Now, its time for the shirt….=)
Congrats buddy! Can’t wait to see them!
Dear Capt. Luce,
First of all Thank You for your service. I hope to one day honor your memory by completing this WOD as RX’ed today was not that day unfortunately.
Two rounds 32:58
no weight vest
800m run
20 blue/red band assisted push ups
100 squats.
battled hurling up my chorizo and egg breakfast the entire second round so figured I should quit before redecorating the garage floor. not fun but a great workout.
Did this one at home.
37:04
20# pack for all events
1K run (note to self, small hills on a walk through are much bigger while running with additional 20#)
Sub’d 20 pullups and rings dips for muscle ups. I have some make shift rings in the garage but they are too low for muscle ups, plus, with the weight I would not have got many.
On the second and third set of dips I used a thin band.
100 squats to dynamax ball (squats were tough)
Had to stop often to deal with kids, now I remember why I don’t like working out at home.
Thank you Ronald Luce for your sacrifice. Semper Fidelis soldier.
Will
Wow! Way to go using the 20# pack Will. I bet the 100 squats each round were tough!
Caught up with this one today (Sunday) after climbing:
43:44
3 rounds:
1km on treadmill with 20# vest
10 UGLY half kip/half strict/half ??? pull ups (short bar)
20 bar dips with 20# vest
100 squats with 20# vest
nothing like a full body sweat! Though i would’ve been faster with the CFS crew keeping me from slacking.
Thank you Captain Luce, rest in peace.
