Thanks to some excellent coaching by Jeff, I think I finally broke through a technical and mental barrier that’s been hounding me for awhile on heavy snatches. Disregarding the weight, I just feel like a monkey’s off my back. I don’t think I’ve ever left a heavy snatch day with a bigger smile. Thanks Jeff!
That’s what’s always impressed me about CFS is the advanced coaching techniques, those small details when you get past the major points.
85-95#, Being a newby on power lifts, I’m amazed how the ease of it changes as I start “getting” the technique for these. Jeff suggested I do Hang Squat Snatches, but thanks to the Burgener practices I can begine to feel when I do it correctly the weight just pops up but if not… It’ll be nice to gauge my progression as the weight becomes a strain WHEN I do it right more consistently. I appreciated Jeff’s continued analysis of my technique!

I always love a heavy day, I even turned out a spin class at a big gym for snatches. Love em!!
I really meant, turned down. Grammer check where are you?

This felt all right for my first time with a heavy snatch, but I’m sure I could improve my form a lot. The snatch definitely tests explosive power in a unique way. I like it. ^_^
145 lb snatch.
I may have been able to get more, but I wanted to concentrate on form. I dropped back down to 135 so I could get the full “power snatch”. Felt better…. Until I got tired.
